First of all I am a huge fan of the older GTA's for PS1. I am also a huge fan of GTA3 and Vice City. San Andreas was decent.
GTA4 had very impressive visuals being it is a PS3 and 360 title but the gameplay plummeted. There were definitely improvements like the combat/cover system and the new Cell phone.
What happened to all the weapons? We use to pack screwdrivers, chainsaws, flamethrowers, hammers and even a dildo. Also, remember when the spray shop was a big part of the missions when evading police and I don't even remember a bomb shop in GTA4? I'm glad they lost a lot of the features from San Andreas like shopping, working out, and dating (mostly) but they should have kept the mod shop.
Maybe it was just me but I felt like all the key elements that made GTA great were left out in 4. Maybe we'll see them return in another awesome GTA.
